In every real estate transaction, there are disclosures that must be made to both parties. For example, as a seller, you are required to provide the buyer with a "Sellers' Disclosure Statement". Other disclosures may include (but not limited to) lead based paint, mold and mildew and more. Many lawsuits have arisen from the lack of disclosures.Here are links to some important documents you should read and be aware of:
Lead Paint disclosure - If a home was constructed prior to 1978, this disclosure must be provided to buyers.
Agency disclosure - Washington State Laws require that a real estate agent provide this disclosure to clients prior to writing up an offer.
